Slebech Park Country Estate, Wales

Writer's picture: Sharna LockettSharna Lockett

I found this beautiful place and decided it was the perfect birthday present for my partner. Slebech Park Country Estate is honestly one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. It was luxurious inside and out.

How do you get There?

It was a fair drive from where we live in Peterborough, 5 hours in total. But it was so worth it. I really would've loved to have stayed for longer. If you type Slebech Park into maps it should find it straight away. We used the postcode SA62 4AX and it should say Haverfordwest.

What was it Like?

The room we stayed in was lovely, we had a really nice view outside the windows which had little seats to sit on and admire such views. It was a fairly large room with numerous seats spotted around and a huge comfy double bed and TV. The bathroom was also huge with a massive bath and also a seperate shower. They were very generous with all the necessities spotted around the room and the bathroom for you to use. I think it was about £126 for the both of us for one night. Not massively expensive but definitely a treat for a special occasion.

We went here September time, the weather was very kind to us and aloud us to explore the amazing grounds of Slebech Park.

Right in front of the Estate was a huge lake you could see the sun setting over. I'd have loved to of stayed for longer and been able to explore more of the gardens but unfortunately we just didn't have the time to.

In the evening we found a little bar within the Estate which was such a nice place to be. All the lights hanging from the ceiling. It was such a cozy, welcoming environment.

Some of the locals that weren't staying in the hotel would stop to have a conversation with us as they were also taking the opportunity to explore the grounds , everyone was so friendly there.

Another amazing thing about the grounds that we stumbled across was some old church ruins. It was a stunning sight to be able to walk through them. There were no people around, it was so peaceful. I'd happily go here again purely just to admire this again.

I think if your visiting the far end of Wales and want to stay in a beautiful hotel that has plenty of grounds to walk on and places to see this is the perfect hotel to stay in. I think for everything you get within the estate its a great price.

One of my favorite things to do in life is find somewhere beautiful and take in the view. Obviously you have to walk a fair bit before you find that breathtaking view most of the time. Now I am no expert, I only speak from experiences. I have been going on many adventures from hiking up Mount Snowdon in Wales, exploring the Moors of Devon and walking in the hills of the Peak District, alongside my life companion. I started this blog to share some of the adventures we go on through my partners marvelous photography and my not so marvelous Photography but hopefully inspiring words.
