One of the beaches I'd always wanted to go to was Jurassic Coast. Being a big fan of anything Dinosaur, the chance to find a fossil on the beach really excited me! Obviously I wasn't lucky enough to actually find a fossil, although I did have a thorough look! luckily the beautiful views of Jurassic Coast made up for it.

Where to Park?

We parked at Durdle Door car park, Wareham BH20, if you type Durdle Door into your maps it should come up. It's almost a 4 hour drive from where we live in Peterborough. Because of the journey I'd definitely say it's a place to visit while your in the area. I'm pretty sure me and Callum visited Jurassic Coast on the way back from Waymouth.

How do you get to the Beach?

Once your there it's pretty obvious where you have to walk as there is only one main path going down to the right towards the beach itself. On the way down there is plenty of opportunities to take some spectacular photos. Unfortunately I didn't have my proper camera with me and only used my phone for these pictures. I was lucky enough to have my partner with me though who always has his camera in hand.

Once you walk down the path to the beaches you'll find some steps. At the bottom of the steps you have the option to go Left or Right. Both directions take you to a different beach.

When we got here the Beach on the left (Man Of War) was closed off so we where unable to go down there. I think the steps were no longer safe to walk down. It was still a pretty view though. You may of been able to get onto the beach from another entrance but we didn't see anyone walking down there and didn't want to risk getting in trouble!

We walked to the right down the steps and onto the Durdle Door Beach. The busiest place was when you first set foot onto the sand (Even though in the picture below I managed to crop most the people out, it looks pretty empty here)

We walked all the way up the beach until we came to a cliff end. The sand isn't proper sand, it's lovely and white in the pictures, but, it was actually made out of tiny little pebbles. I wouldn't want to take my shoes off. I wouldn't want to be wearing sandals either. I think if you're coming to a place like this you'll need to wear comfy footwear. I'd say if you wanted to take a picnic or to sit on the beach, take a blanket with you also.

We both had a really nice time here. Such a nice beautiful place for photographs. I would definitely recommend coming here at least once if you get the chance to. I would love to come here on a lovely sunny day and be able to swim in the sea but unfortunately it was very windy when we came it wasn't the warmest of weathers.

If you do end up taking a visit, enjoy!

One of my favorite things to do in life is find somewhere beautiful and take in the view. Obviously you have to walk a fair bit before you find that breathtaking view most of the time. Now I am no expert, I only speak from experiences. I have been going on many adventures from hiking up Mount Snowdon in Wales, exploring the Moors of Devon and walking in the hills of the Peak District, alongside my life companion. I started this blog to share some of the adventures we go on through my partners marvelous photography and my not so marvelous Photography but hopefully inspiring words.
